People do different things for fun… Some like having a relaxed day with their families, some hang out with friends on a night out, and yet others like spending their weekends fishing with buddies.
Peter Khumalo and his friends Zakhele Xulu, Jabulani Khumalo, Diliza Zungu, Themba, Nhlanhla and Mncindezeli Cindi like ‘chilling’ on Sundays at Spioenkop Dam, fishing and having a blast. “We don’t sell the fish we catch; rather we take them back home and sometimes we even give them to people for food. We fish for fun and to relax our minds after a long and hard week.

“We normally catch carp and sometimes we compete as to who catches the biggest fish. Basically it’s just a fun day with friends and the best thing is that we all like doing the same thing, which is fishing,” chuckles Peter.
