Bowlers have recently been granted permission to return to the greens. With this good news, players gathered at the Newcastle Bowling Club for the Singles Championships recently.

Bowls correspondent, John Douthwaite (Burnt End) explained the executive of KwaZulu-Natal Country Bowls (KZNCB) would meet this weekend to discuss the way forward, ahead of a meeting with Bowls South Africa (BSA) at the end of the month. During this meeting, KZNCB will discuss motions put forward by other districts regarding the SA Inter District tournaments.
“Bowlers wait with bated breath to hear the outcome of the BSA meeting.”
Members of the bowling club are also requested to note the AGM on September 12 – notices have been sent out and members are urged to attend.
