Vodacom Durban July: Who’s your money on?

Who do you think will win this year's race?

The Vodacom Durban July will take centre stage tomorrow at the Greyville Racecourse in Durban, this time behind close doors.

The Vodacom Durban July has been raced on the first Saturday of July since 1897, but this year faced uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The race will go ahead though, just behind closed doors and with no spectators present.

The prize fund has also been reduced to R1.5 million due to stake reductions caused by Covid-19 and punters will have to settle for placing their bets online or at a tote.

Do It Again, the winner of the 2018 and 2019 editions of the race, will be looking to make history this year. No horse has won the July three times.

Other notable names touted to take the win include Belgarion, Rainbow Bridge and Got The Greenlight.
