Parkrunners turn up the heat
Vryheid parkrun has requested donations of spekboom plants from the community, in order for the event to participate in the national Spekboom Project
On Saturday, Vryheid parkrun had 94 walkers and runners competing.
Personal bests were set by Cameron, Everlien, Ronnie, Jane, Nondumiso, Thembi, Leonie and Catelyn.
Since the first event, Vryheid parkrun has these interesting statistics: events – 86; number of runs – 7 986; number of PBs – 1 532; total time run – 249 days, two hours, one minute, 30 seconds; total distance run – 39,930 kilometres. “We are experiencing beautiful warm weather, so see you on Saturday at 7am at the President Street entrance to the golf club.” Vryheid parkrun has requested donations of spekboom plants from the community, in order for the event to participate in the national Spekboom Project.
