Squash league brings smoking action

Last week was packed with extremely competitive games on the squash courts.
The teams are really starting to collect valuable points, competing for the amazing prizes sponsored by Buffalo Coal. Many matches resulted in ladder changes with ‘almost-veteran’ Gouws establishing his position very quickly, after a few years off the courts. The new players are also enjoying the matches, with some tough competition on their level.
The scoreboard after this week’s games is as follows:
Team 3 (Morne Mare, Hanno vd Berg, Sunil Bhartu, Carla Mare and Denise Oosthuizen) and Team 6 (Rudi Dorfling, Eugene Corbitt, Jacques Corbitt, Ben Strydom and Eugene Corbitt Jnr) are in the lead with 32 points, followed by Team 4 (Zane Qwabe, John Flanagan, Craig Owen, Vanesse Burns and Ronnie Mulligan) with 31 points.
