Dave’s Competition, played on January 22 over 11 holes in the form of an IPS, was won by Jeff Schär on 22 points. Second place went to Cyril Mkhwanzi on 20 points, counted out from Dan Scholtz.
The Chicken Run played on January 24 over 10 holes, was won by Louis Albertse on 25 points, ahead of Dan Scholtz on 24 points. Two clubs were carded by L Bezuidenhout and D Scholtz.
Club Competition: The competition played on January 25 (in the four ball better ball Stableford format) attracted a good field. The winners are as follows: first – CJ van Dy and A Patterson on a good 49 points, second – Clement Chawanda and Mandla Mthethwa on 47 points, third – Bertie Venter and Abrie Pretorius on 45 points counted out.
Two clubs were carded by Norman Patterson, Aaron Mbatha and Sifiso Kunene. The jackpot was won by John Zulu and L de Wit, and the club thanks all visitors who competed over the weekend.

February 1 – The Monthly Mug for February and the Mug of Mugs for 2019 will be played, in the format of individual medal.
