Umzinyathi onslaught too good for Umtshezi

Saqib Ali ripped through the Umtshezi batting line-up, taking six wickets for 32 runs.

Umzinyathi’s second team took on Umtshezi’s second team in the KZN Inland Promotion League, and it was the local lads who came out on top.

Umzinyathi chose to bat first and was bowled out for 144. Pierre Booysen top scored for the team with 28, but was outscored by extras which accounted for 40 of the team’s runs.

Labeeb Adam chipped in with 23. For the visitors, Lloyd Ramdeen took four wickets for 39 runs, while P Kewelparsad took two wickets for 10 runs.

Saqib Ali ripped through the batting line-up, taking 6 wickets for 32 runs.

Saqib Ali then ripped through the Umtshezi batting line-up. He took six wickets for 32 runs as the visitors were bowled out for just 49 runs with only 13 overs faced, giving Umzinyathi a comfortable 95-run victory.

Daniel Halforty and Adeel Ahmed assisted with 2/4 and 1/12 respectively.
