The Royal Hearts Soccer Club held a prize giving ceremony recently

Royal Hearts Soccer Club took great pride in rewarding members for their hard work and dedication on the field.
The past season has been a busy one for the club, with weekly training sessions and competing in tournaments.

Coach Fabian Meyers held an awards ceremony for the boys last Saturday afternoon at Colita Hall. He used the opportunity to motivate the lads and also address their parents on plans for 2020.

Guest speaker Karell Moonsamy urged the players to overcome challenges and their circumstances. Then it was the much-anticipated moment of handing out trophies and medals.

Although every player received a trophy, special ones were handed out to the ‘Top Goal Scorer’, ‘Player of the Season’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ in each category.

The event was capped off with lunch, which was generously sponsored by the Moonsamy family. The club members, who share a brotherhood-like bond, spent the afternoon socialising and celebrating together.
