Farmers clip Ace Eagles’ wings on the pitch

Each of the Farmers bowlers took at least one wicket, with Eric returning the best figures with three for 17 runs.

Farmers versus Ace Eagles – 30 overs
Farmers batted first and could only manage 101 all out from 20.4 overs. Pieter Johnson top scored with 23 and was the only batsman to get into the 20s. Zaheer Adam was magnificent with the ball, taking five wickets for 27 runs from six overs.

In reply, Ace Eagles fell just short of the mark and was bowled out for just 98. Safwaan made 26 and Suhail chipped in with 21. Each of the Farmers’ bowlers took at least one wicket, with Eric returning the best figures with three wickets for 17 runs. Janie, Tyron and Braam all took two wickets each as Farmers won the game by three runs.

Predators vs Yahyaa Boys – 30 overs
Predators batted first and its innings came to a close at 125/9, after T had to retire hurt. Thulani top scored with 39 for the team. Rishi was destructive with ball in hand, taking three wickets for seven runs in eight balls.

In reply, Yahyaa Boys chased down the total in the 16th over, losing only one wicket in the process. Rishi top scored with 58 and M Patel was not far behind, scoring 52. Johan claimed the only wicket, as Predators could not stop Yahyaa Boys from claiming a nine wicket victory.

Paki Lions vs Predators – T20
Paki Lions batted first and was bowled out for 129. Waqas top scored with 23 and Ali chipped in with 20. Andrew and Thulani both took three wickets for Predators, giving their batsmen a real chance to win the game.

However, in reply Predators were skittled out for only 84, with Bongamenzi top scoring with 24. Saqib, Zafar and Fakhar took 2 wickets apiece as Paki Lions scored an easy victory.
