Black belt success for senior JKA karateka

Seniors trained with top JKA instructors

Some senior Newcastle JKA karateka trained with top JKA instructors this month.
The highlight of the weekend was the fact that some of the Northern KwaZulu-Natal JKA karateka passed their 1st and 2nd Dan gradings/examinations.
Nazir Manjoo, Gohan Geringer, Marko Swart, Jancke Vermaak, Nayla Kajee and Tasme Ramsamooj all passed to 1st Dan (shodan).
Charles Kemp, Cassidy Steenkamp and Anthony van der Watt all passed to 2nd Dan (nidan).
What makes these qualifications even more special is the fact that they are internationally recognised, with the karateka registered at JKA’s Japan headquarters and are considered black belts anywhere in the world.
Well done to the karateka on their wonderful achievements.
