The fishermen were treated to some awesome weather and everyone tried to catch the “big one”. Eventually, the first and second placed carp were separated by a mere 10 ounces!

First place went to Rob Hardwick with a carp weighing 3.02kg and second place to Lloyd Naidoo, weighing in at 3.01kg.

Third place went to Brandon Jenkins with a carp of 2.24kg. The biggest barbel went to Justin Sutherland with a fish of 4.81kg. The Shellhole would like to thank all the participants and hopefully next time there can be even more fishermen.

A special thanks must go to Playbill Naren Naidoo for all his dedication and hard work in putting this event together and ensuring that the competition went off well.

Also a big thanks to Ephraim Mavuso from Ezemvelo Wildlife and all the honorary officers for ensuring that the event complied to fishing regulations.
