ATKV Business League: The third week of the ATKV Business League took place this past Thursday evening, with conditions a lot more favourable than the previous week. The leader board as follows after the six games played:
Sharks (12 + 51), All Sorts (10 + 27), The Hesoms (10 + 20) and Buffalo Coal (9 + 30).
The final round will take place this Thursday evening, with one game to be played and the prize-giving to follow thereafter. Spectators are invited to the club for a great evening out.
Kings Day, Newcastle: Newcastle’s annual Kings Day took place this past Saturday in sweltering conditions. The day was very well supported, with a total of 42 trips teams taking part.
The highest placed Dundee team was that of Willie, Dirk and Sheryl, who ended fourth overall. Rita and her team ended in sixth place.
Friedman Cup: The highly anticipated annual Friedman Cup will take place on November 2 and 3. Preparations are currently underway and the community is urged to visit the club and witness some excellent bowls in action.
