Golfers practice their swing
With no real focus on scores, golfers were able to easily laugh off their ‘bum shots’.
Despite the fact that there was no formal competition hosted at the Newcastle Golf Club over the weekend, social golfers still took the greens.
This provided the ideal recreational backdrop for business networking, practicing that perfect swing, or simply getting in a cardio-vascular workout in preparation for a summer bathing suit.
With no real focus on scores, golfers were able to easily laugh off their ‘bum shots’.
Club competitions took place on Wednesday and Friday last week.
Johnny Saunders took first place in the Ocean Basket Sponsored Wednesday Competition with 40 points.
Lionel Phillips was second with 37 points and Gary Williams finished third with 36 points.
On Friday, Tinkie van der Heever took first place in the Sundowner Five Hole Competition with 12 points.
Garry Radford took second place with 10 points and John Clark came third on nine points.
