Police officials ready to putt, chip and tee

This is the first time the duo have been selected to attend the week-long KZN training camp.

Two Dundee police officers will be exchanging their handcuffs and batons for golf balls and clubs, after being chosen to attend round one of the SAPS Provincial Training Camp in Margate this week.
If selected, Constable Naomi van Huysteen and Constable Scelo Ndolvu will go to the second round.
If their form holds there, they will stand a chance to be part of the SAPS team which will battle for national honours during the SAPS Golfing Championships in Potchefstroom.
This is the first time the duo have been selected to attend the week-long KZN training camp.
Both are regular golfers in Dundee when they are not fulfilling their policing duties – Naomi in the Crime Unit and Scelo of the uniformed branch.
“We are very excited and will do our best to fly the Dundee flag in Margate and then later in Potchefstroom if everything goes well. We would like to thank everyone for their support,” said Naomi and Scelo to the Courier.
Keep an eye on the Courier for their progress on the greens.
