Both amateur and social golfers were in action at Newcastle Golf Club on Saturday, taking advantage of a quieter field and near perfect weather conditions.

Although results were not available at the time of going to print, it was clear competitors sought to keep their ‘eyes’ in, ahead of more competitions in weeks to follow.
