Hockey girls to swap sticks for golf clubs

The Northern KwaZulu-Natal hockey girls will swap hockey sticks for golf clubs, at the annual golf day in Dundee on Saturday.

The format of play will be a Four Ball Ball Better Ball Stableford competition, and golfer are encouraged to enter with a partner. Entry is R180 per player and support for the girls is encouraged.

On Wednesday, Dave’s competition will be played over 11 holes in the form of IPS. The ‘normal chicken run’ will be played on Friday, in the form of a 10-hole IPS.

Results for Dave’s competition, played on May 29 in the form of individual medal competition were as follows: C Division winner – Thea Kruger on 74 nett points; B Division winner – Debbie Catlett on 69 nett points. The Men’s Mugs went to S Sithole on 68 nett points in the A Division, and Marc Bradbudy with 72 nett points in the B Division.

The best gross score was Pierre Booysen on 74 points. Two-clubs were carded by P Booysen on Hole 12/16, and Billy Francis on Hole 8.
