2019 was no different and Estcourtonians were among the thousands of people there on May 19. More than 30,000 people participated in this year’s event.

Forderville Athletic Club member Ronnie Naidoo and his walking partner Mr Nyandeni enjoyed the walk.

“I think because of the large crowd this year, we had more breaks, as people walked past with prams. This was the first time I got to the finish and was not tired. We really enjoyed the Big Walk,” said Mr Naidoo.
