Herman Dlamini announced Estcourt Golf Club Champ

Herman Dlamini scooped the trophy as A Division winner

Martin van Niekerk
The Mortimer Toyota sponsored club Champs was full of drama when Herman Dlamini kept his cool on the last 18 holes to reel in overnight leader Luke Schiever and chasing from the B division George Van Niekerk.

SEE THIS:

Luke, leading by four shots fell off the bus with George posting another 39 to lead the Championship by two shots going into the last nine. The likelihood of a B division player winning the Championships looked very real.

C Division winner Bruce Titlestad tees off on Saturday.

George found some trees off the fairway on the back nine to post a 42 while Herman made 36 and 38 to win his second Championship since April 2000 on 156. Luke managed to hold on to second place on 159 and Dave Diedrick on 160.

The B division was a one-horse race with Georgie posting a 38-39-39-42 to win by 12 shots from Deejay Ramdhav on 170 on count out from Sam Sewsanker. Leading from the front in the C division, Bruce Titlestad won on188 followed by Sondlo Mlotshwa on 194 and Bunn Hamman on 205.

Gail Boettiger won the Ladies B division on 190 whilst the C division was won by Delia le Roux. Gina Hamman second and Laura Erasmus taking third place.

The best nett went to George van Niekerk on 138, Deejay on 140 and Dave Diedrick on 144. It must be noted that a number of players in the B division played in the C division last year and improved to such an extent that they will play in the A division next year.
