Scorching hot action on the cricket pitch at Lambert Park

The best bowler on the night for Macksons was M Rehman with one wicket for only 15 runs

On Friday night, Macksons CC played a T20 Night game against Farhaan Bricks and Boards (FB).

FB elected to bat first and the FB batsman Aziz; smashing 87 off 55 balls and his opening partner Imtiaz scoring 30 runs, set them flying to a total of 180/4 in 20 overs.

The best bowler on the night for Macksons was M Rehman with one wicket for only 15 runs in his four overs during a high scoring affair.

Macksons came out firing but could not keep up the high run rate whilst trying to keep wickets.  Iqram with an unbeaten 56 not out did not have any big hitting support and the Macksons team fell short managing only 146/7 after their 20 overs and giving FB the win by 34 runs.

Best bowler for FB was Waseem Mohammed with two wickets for 10 runs in three overs bowled.  On Saturday afternoon, Colita CC played a T20 Day game against Aster CC.

Aster was sent in to bat first on a very hot day and managed to wiggle their way to 99 all out despite a solid innings of 29 runs by Muneer.

Best bowler for Colita on the day was Divek (Snowy) with two wickets for 15 runs in three overs bowled. Colita would soon find themselves in a similar pickle as the Aster team faced in the middle and saw wickets steadily falling.

The main contributor for Colita with a 31 run top score was Neelan Ivayoo.  This game eventually coming down to the wire and with only three balls left, Colita managed to hit the winning runs after eight wickets down and clinching their second win for the season, with two wickets.

Best bowler for the Aster team was Akshay taking four wickets for only 22 runs in his four overs bowled.
On Sunday, Farhaan Aluminium (FA) came up against Farhaan Hardware (FH) in a 50 over match. FH won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

In a stalwart effort on a very hot summer’s day the FH team grinded out a competitive total of 205 all out by the 45th over.  Best batsman for FH was Imran with 63 (70) and Annas with 25 (35).

The pick of the bowlers for the FA team was Adil Khan taking four wickets for 40 runs in his 10 over spell that could have been the decider in this match.

FA did not waste time and showed intent early taking the game to the FH team.  Sami Ulluh top scoring with 36 (48) and Nadeem with 28 (36) were well backed-up by the other top order batsman and left little work for the tail.

FA hit the winning runs during the 45th over for the loss of eight wickets and took the win by two wickets.  Top bowler for the FH team was Naeem with three wickets for 32 runs in 10 overs bowled.
