Double the competition on the golf course

A reminder to all golfers that this coming weekend will be Mortimer Toyota Monthly Mug

On Saturday, Estcourt Golf Club hosted the annual Estcourt Hospice Golf Day.

48 golfers took to the field on a very hot day. Paul Fick and Doc Chotu walked away as winners on 48 points with Melton and Tuppy Schiever in second on 46. R Khan and M Ghasitha came third also on 46 points.

Closest to the pin on number three went to R Khan and the longest drive of the day on number nine went to P Geraty. On Sunday, the club hosted the Macksons Skaap Dag.

40 golfers battled it off for some great mutton prizes. In the end, R Khan and M Ghasitha won on a count out on 45 points to DJ Ramdhav and R Goondram and then third spot went to G van Niekerk and P Mnculwane.

Connie Geldenhuys won the closest to the pin on number three and made sure he managed to sink the birdie for a two club. The other two club went to Murray Hume on the 10th, a great achievement as this is a par four.

A reminder to all golfers that this coming weekend will be Mortimer Toyota Monthly Mug and the main event of the year takes place over the weekend of November 16-18, the Eskort Pty Ltd Open weekend.
