Endumeni Angling Club awards top anglers

The lucky winner of a brand new TV was Benazir Narothum

Endumeni Angling Club held its second Annual General Meeting and Awards Function at Glencoe Primary School on July 28.

The club, which is affiliated to the Northern Natal Fresh Waters Angling Association (NNWFAA), awarded its top anglers for the 2017/2018 fishing season. Anglers were awarded in many different categories and also given prizes for Knockout and Social Outing leagues.

The winners on the day were: Heaviest Scaled Fish – Riaz Akoonjee, 2.790 kg, Heaviest Non Scaled Fish – Naesh Rajkumar, 3.390kg.

The League Championship was a tie between Naseem Kajee and Tashriq Narothum and the Champion of Champions Category went to Tashriq Narothum. Junior Angler of the Season was won by Muhammed Ebrahim.

Junior Members were also awarded with a prize for the heaviest fish caught by a junior during each outing. Endumeni Angling Club prides itself in developing young anglers so that they can have a good foundation to grow in their angling careers.

To raise funds, the Endumeni Angling Club raffled a 55″ UHD LED Smart tv with sound bar for only R20 at the Ghandi walk on Saturday. The lucky winner was Benazir Narothum.
