A win for Warren and Graham at betterball competition

Bun Hamman won the closest to the pin and made sure he sunk his putt for the birdie to join Philip and Mukie

On Saturday, Estcourt Golf Club hosted a club sponsored betterball. A very small field braved the predicted cold weather, but the players were blessed with a nice, sunny day.

Winning on an impressive 47 points were father and son team, Warren and Graham Smith.  Warren also won the Friday six hole competition.

Bun Hamman won the closest to the pin and made sure he sunk his putt for the birdie to join Philip and Mukie on the two club list. Bunn and Gina Hamman walked away with the jackpot prize.

A reminder to all golfers playing in the St Greg’s Day this coming Saturday, please get to the club no later than 11am, as there is a full field and there can’t be any delays in the shotgun start.

This coming Wednesday will be the Midway Restaurant Wednesday competition, please support the sponsor. On Sunday, eight brave Estcourt golfers played Midlands League at Gowrie Golf Course.

Temperatures never got into double figures and it seems that Estcourt 2 took advantage of Estcourt 1’s freezing bodies to jump ahead of them in the overall log.

Wins for Estcourt players were, Bruce Marx, Deejay Ramdhav, Rishi Goondram and Ledlie Hume won their singles and then Shaun and Ledlie won their foursomes and Warren and Rishi halved theirs.
