BBAC well represented at Comrades Marathon down run

BBAC runners were out in force and well supported

The Courier, in the guise of Linda du Plessis, was at the start of the Comrades Marathon this morning in Pietermaritzburg and Linda managed to catch the emotional start in the capital city.

While two-times Comrades Champ Bongamusa Mthembu took the title yet again, in a time of 5:26:39, our local Biggarsberg athletes were also in action.

The start early this morning in Pietermaritzburg:

Ann Ashworth won her maiden Comrades Marathon title in 6:10:13. That’s a great time on this longer course. She secures a men’s and women’s double for South Africa
