Pugilists roared on by enthusiastic crowd in Glencoe

The  South African Youth Boxing Championships are currently taking place in the Glencoe Town Hall with teams representing KZN, the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State and Gauteng all fighting it out for honours.

Over 200 boy and girl boxers are competing with many accommodation establishments in Endumeni benefitting from their stayover which includes officials, supporters and relatives.

Danie van Heerden from Johannesburg, the father of cage-fighter Danie van Heerden, is also watching to support his youngest son, Don-Juan, who is fighting for Gauteng, received a special welcome. The competition concludes on Saturday.
