Rhino wrestlers trample opposition at KZN Champs

The locals came home with 20 medals, including 15 gold medals.

The Rhino wrestlers again dominated the Orange Grove KZN Wrestling Championships in Richards Bay on August 26.
The locals came home with 20 medals, including 15 gold medals. “We were well represented by our 20 wrestlers and wrestling was of a high standard,” said coach, Steven Brown.
Choosing a wrestler of the day proved daunting but the judges did give the nod to Theuns van der Merwe who competed in a highly competitive weight divison.
Theuns reached the final where he had to deal with a national champion, Livaan Louw, from Richards Bay. In an exciting nail-biting fight, Theuns lost a gold medal by losing by a single point.

Tion Brown, Ziphozonke Buthelezi, Keegan Basson, JJ du Plessis, Mundell Brown, Ricky Basson, Kyle Senekal, Chayne Stoltz, Johan Bezuidenhout, Thato Moloi, Dillan Guelpa, Tommy Bezuidenhout, JC Botha, Henk Booysen and Leonard Kruger.
Silver medals 
Njabulo Ndlovu, Jurgens Booysen, Theuns van der Merwe and Dawie Botha.
Bronze medal
