Congratulations to Rodney Perrin and his team for successfully defending the trophy at the recently played Men’s Fours at Ladysmith Country Club. This is a great achievement and Klipbank is proud of you.
On Saturday, the final of the Ladies’ Club Fours was played and won by Barbara Baleri, Liefie Oosthuizen, Shenaaz Singh and Des Maartens.
These four ladies had a well-deserved win over Magriet Coetzee, Barbara Elworthy, Veronica Malan and Fran Baleri, the latter team having to enjoy their drinks outside as their score did not allow them to enter the pub! Well done, ladies!
On Sunday, some of our players travelled to The Nest to play in the annual Reinie Reith Tournament. Once more, there was an invasion from across the border, with Kobus Rossouw’s side from Harrismith taking home the trophy. Ron Richmond, Bennie Malan and Veronica Malan – ably assisted by a player from The Nest – managed to come third and keep our flag flying high.
