Golfers were sold on bumper Harcourts Day

Saturday, 60 players enjoyed a great day’s golf at Dundee Country Club thanks to local property giants, Harcourts. Not only did the sponsors have some great prizes on offer to the golfers who performed well on the course, but they also served up a scrumptious supper for the golfers and their families to enjoy.
The day was blessed with the splendid autumn weather.

Winning the 4 BBBS competition with an excellent score of 52 points was the doctors pairing of Blessing Chiwaya and Shepard Nzenza. Second position went to Owen van Aarde and his partner, Leon Pienaar of Newcastle, on 47 points, one point ahead of third-placed J Khumalo and C Mkwanazi.
Sifiso Kunene and Zane Qwabe won the count out on 45 points to finish fourth. The prizes for nearest the pin on the short holes went to; Kallie Roets on the fourth, Carl Donaldson on the eighth, Lorien De Wit at the 12th and Robert Khumalo on the 16th hole.

Abri Pretorius picked up the prize for closest to 2 on the 18th hole. Friday’s 10 hole meat competition saw only seven players competing, and winning the meat voucher after scoring 23 individual points was Henk Booysen. With a long weekend ahead, the club competition on Thursday, April 27 and Saturday, April 29 will be an I.P.S. event.
