Good course promotes good golf

On Saturday the golf club hosted a club competition with the course in excellent playing condition and good weather, with some rainfall later in the afternoon.

With only 18 players on the course and some good scores recorded, winners on the day were Vaughan Ric-Hansen and Arnie Boettiger on 48 points. Second were DJ Ramdhav and Kamy Baboolal on 46 points.

It was very exciting to see Vaughan Ric-Hansen playing, as he made time to visit his old friends – all golfers, of course – during his short visit to Estcourt. The jackpot was won by Vaughan and Arnie on 12 points.

Closest to pin number three was Dave Diedrick and two club winners were Arnie Boettiger, Reuben Meades on number 16 and DJ Ramdhav on number 12.

All golfers please note that no six balls will be permitted to play in competition, so please arrange your four balls or find friends or fellow golfers to play with. Please repair your pitch marks, as the greens are soft and in good condition, so keep them that way and remember to be at the club 20 minutes before play.
