Determined few attend Time Trials on Freedom Day

2km walk boys: First Siyabonga Mokoena 23m14s. 2km ladies walk: First was Lani van der Mescht 20m26s and second Luzanne van der Mescht 21m37s.
2km ladies run: Thola Ntombela finished in 21m20s.
3km ladies walk: First Jayrushka Massalia 23m06s and second Joyce Shabalala 23m54s.
4km boys run: Sanele Buthelezi 18m48s.
4km Mens run: Ayanda Buthelezi 15m41s. Siyabonga, a junior, walked the 2km in incredible time.
Lani walked a fine race to the 2km ladies walk event, closely followed by Luzanne. In the 3km ladies walk, Jayrushka and Joyce fought it out with Jayrushka prevailing. Sanele ran an excellent time in the 4km junior boys event. In the 4km mens section, Ayana took it easy but still ran a cracking time.
