It’s time for the 2016 Wagendrift Challenge

The trail run and MTB race will commence at 8am and the biathlon and triathlon will commence at about 8.30am

A fun day for the entire family at Wagendrift Dam is beckoning, so don’t make any plans for this Sunday, February 7.

This is when Estcourt Round Table 74 hosts the annual Wagendrift Challenge. Packed with action, entertainment, good food and the magnificent dam as a backdrop, this is an event not to be missed.

The consists of a 1km swim and 5km run, which may be done solo or in teams of two.

The triathlon consists of a 1km swim, 5km run and 10km MTB ride, which can either be completed by an individual or teams of two or three.

A 20km MTB ride and 20km trail run is also part of the day’s activities. Registration begins from 6.30am.

Medals will be awarded to all finishers and there will be a selection of lucky draw prizes. There will be ample secure parking available.

Trail runners and mountain bikers are reminded to carry their own water.
