Bowlers battle for supremacy in Business League

Congratulations to Nan Roos who was selected for the KZN Open Side and Sylvia Malan who was selected for the KZN Senior side.

A very successful weekend revealed some surprise leaders at the KZNCB Presidents Cup which was played in Newcastle under tremendous heat for two days.
The women’s section was won by The Presidents team, ably lead by Gloria Carbutt.
The men’s section was won by the Men’s Open team. A weekend enjoyed by all. Thank you to Hannellie Arndt and a few others players for stepping in to assist with the absence of a few players.

Sylvia has been selected to play in the KZNCB Pre-lim Masters in November and Nan selected to play in the KZNCB Open Masters in January 2016.
T-shirts 4 Afrika Business League
Team Malan/Garden Designs have taken a convincing lead in the T-Shirts 4 Afrika Business League with 18+89 points. Following close behind are T-Shirts 4 Afrika team with 16+51.
The third Moths 16+35 in third and Battlefields Sport Resort on 13+31 are fighting for league positions with NEMS on 13+21. With only three games to go, there will be some teams trying to move up the ladder and and others watching closely not to get The Stone.
The next business league will start October 29. Enter on notice board, R500 / team. First 14 teams to pay will play.

Dundee Bowling Club will be hosting the first ever Legends Mens’ Bowls Get Together from 15 to 16 December.
Top past and present Provincial and Springbok players will be attending.

Friedmann Tournament
The Friedmann Cup and Douthwaite/Bunger tournament is just a few weeks away – November 6-8.
Members to please attend an informal meeting on October 15 at 4.30 pm to finalize some planning. Any members and friends willing to assist, please call Sylvia on 081 046 8140.
