Bring your braai stands and picnic baskets and enjoy a weekend of cricket with the community

The popular Umtshezi Cricket Association Round Robin will begin at Lambert Park this Thursday, April 9. Six teams are contesting in this year’s tournament and they are Colita, Aster, Farhaan, Willows, DR Civils and Midlands.

On Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10 the matches begin at 6pm, on Saturday at 2pm and on Sunday, April 12 at 9am. The format of the game will be a 10 over innings with 10 of the 11 players on each team bowling a single over each.

The batting will be rotational so that the batting line-up does not remain constant. On Sunday the much-anticipated final will be played.

The public is encouraged to turn up and support the players. Bring your braai stands and picnic baskets and enjoy a weekend of cricket with the community. Food and refreshments will also be on sale. See you there!
