SWIMMERS from Vryheid Swimming Club attended the Level 2 (L2) Regional Age Group Swimming Championship, held at the Penny Heyns Swimming Pool in Sasolburg on March 19 to 22.
The competition was strong as there were over 500 level 2 swimmers from across the country. Vryheid ladies showed what they were made of and brought the medals home. They competed in their respective age groups: Ashley Reimers – Gold Medals in the following: 50m Breast, 50m Free, 50m Fly; Silver in the following: 100m Breast and Bronze in the following: 200m Breast. Carla Combrink – Gold in the following: 50m Backstroke. Berne van Heerden – Bronze in the following: 50m Backstroke.
