This year’s rugby season begins in April, but the Boshpick Highlanders’ players are already well into their training steps.

This year, the club is in search of glory and a promotion to the Premier Rugby League.

Tonight, Friday February 20, at the Arbor Park Sports Grounds, the team will host trials for all rugby players who wish to join the club, and they have call upon you to come and try out.

With an anonymous sponsor committed to revamping the team’s home field and huge development plans for the club coming to fruition this year, the club definitely has an exciting year ahead.

Furthermore, plans to make Newcastle a possible home away from home to the Sharks have been set in motion, and you could be a part of this.

All you need to do is join the club tonight from 6pm for the trials, and who know you could be the Highlanders’ next best player.

Highlanders coach, Andre Swanepoel said, “We are in for an interesting year this year. We want the people of Newcastle to be a part of this. So join us to support your family, friends or even to become a player. We accomodate everyone, and we want Newcastle to know the Boshpick Highlanders loves the town.”

Trials and team training is open to all rugby fans and player.

The team trains every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.
