The Northerns KZNCB Senior Singles was played in Vryheid and Men’s Champion was John Douthwaite, runner up Billy Nicholas and Ladies Champion Lorraine Vincent, runner up Dalene Louw. Dougie Slabbert won his section but was beaten by John in playoff.
The Northerns KZNCB Open Singles will be played in Newcastle October 18-19, entry is on the notice board.Â
The very popular Friedmann Cup and Douthwaite Memorial Cup tournament is fully subscribed with 36 team entered! There will be 144 players from around KZN, other provinces and Swaziland participating plus their supporters and our sponsors. Teams can enter their names on standby in case of a late withdrawal.Â

Anyone interested in playing bowls call in at club on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, all welcome. Come support the Harcourts Business League on Thursday evenings from 5:30pm onwards.
