Vryheid Country Club – Charity Golf Day a huge success

SATURDAY, May 17, saw the Vryheid Country Club host one of our biggest and most successful charity golf days. Over R100 000-00 was collected and dispersed to those in need. The club also received a large amount from green fees and an auction which took place. A big thank you to Hendrik Steenekamp and Aldus Becker for all their hard work in making the day such a great success.

This week, Wednesday is Pick ‘n Pay, Friday is Abaqulusi Super Spar Double up Two Club and Saturday is a Club Compo.

The 2014 league games have started and the Frogs won their first round as well as the B division. The A division had a bye due to their opponents not being able to make it. The ladies played their second round here in Vryheid on Sunday and also came out tops. Well done to all the teams!

For those of you who haven’t been to the club in a while, get yourselves down here and have a look at the facelift. Thanks to Sanjay and PC for organising the labour and the materials and giving us a new look.

A big thanks must also go out to Hagen and his crew for the wonderful job they have done with our pine forests. The trees have never looked so good – thanks a lot guys!
