The past week saw the first Kilian Academy kickboxers grade towards their next level.

“The first four months consist of basic kickboxing techniques, which students have to master to ensure that they progress to their next level,” says Abrie Kilian, head instructor at the Kilian Academy, and the first of the kickboxing students at Kilian Academy were invited to showcase this training at the academy.

The students who obtained their white patch in kickboxing are as follows: Charl Beukes; Duchen De Beer; Juandré Weber; Frans Scheepers; Justin Gough; Morné Lindeque and Eduardo Fernandes. Charl Beukes took top honours, achieving 80%, which is the highest possible mark a student can obtain during grading.

Kilian added, “We are excited to see our students progress, however we will not promote a student if that student does not show a level of competency required to be promoted.”
