Greens full at Vryheid Bowling Club

ALL THREE greens full, with 51 bowlers playing Singles. It was great to see so many new faces from Piet Retief Bowling Club and Volksrust Bowling Club who have just recently joined KZNCB, and are participating in the Northern Zone, and especially the four under 19 players giving everyone a run for their money.
Although the weather was not perfect, we saw some tight games with drizzle and all. Sunday afternnon the Finals were played with Nan Roos(Dundee) and Lorraine Vincent (Vryheid) and Hogart Gevers (Vryheid) & Brendon van Vreden (Piet Retief) competing for the Trophy.

Thanks to the greenkeeper who managed to get the greens into good condition despite all the hickups in the week!!
And once again the food was delicious – well done ladies!
Next Wednesday the winners of the Drawn Trips will be determined.
Our October Business League starts on Tuesday the 29th and will run for five consecutive Tuesdays. Unfortunately we could only accommodate 12 teams, but we are hoping to get 24 teams in February. Anyone interested in entering a team please contact John Cross 0798636821
