Rotary Club host annual charity golf day to help aid those in need

The main aim of the golf day was to raise enough funds to continue doing community outreach projects to help those in need.

The Majuba Rotary Club hosted their annual charity golf day at the Kilbarchan Golf Club this past Saturday (October 21).

Golfers arrived in their numbers to show their unwavering support for helping the less fortunate in their home town.

Daniel Couper, (President Elect) of the Rotary Club, said the aim of their golf day was to help raise enough funds to continue with their community projects, feeding schemes, and wheel chair donations.

The club also uses these golf days as a means of trying to gain more members, which would help raise awareness of the club’s role in society.

Following a fun day out on the course, golfers proceeded to gather at the clubhouse, eagerly waiting to hear who the top players of the day were.

Congratulations to the following winners:

  1. Phumlani Mbhel and Su
  2. Johan Hugo and Jannie Esterhuizen
  3. Chris Khanyile and Unus Karrim
  4. Mason Meyer and Bruce Meyer
  5. John Clark and Lukas Meyer
  6. Craig Elliott and Struan Wade

The day’s proceeds were distributed among three charity organisations, which would help alleviate their burdens for a little while.
