The Newcastle Chelmsford Angling Club hosted their annual general meeting this past Saturday with members excited to start off their ‘new angling year’.
The new club committee was elected as follows:
- Chairman: Terrence Wells
- Vice Chairman: Roy Ajudhiya
- Secretary: Joy Samuels
- Treasurer: Vish Pooni
- Club Captain: Garry Smith
- Records Clark: Sean McArthur
The club wished each member the best of luck for the year ahead.
The club also awarded the anglers for their fishing achievements over the past year also mentioning their club came in third place during the 2022/23 League Season.
The award winners were as follows:
- Biggest carp: Ashay Sahibdeen
- Biggest barbal: Avanish Singh
- Biggest eel: Nikhil Pooni
- Biggest scale: Vish Pooni
- Most fish: Piet Bothma
- Angler of the Year: Sean McArthur
