Ward 30 hosts Masibambisane youth soccer tournament

The aim of the tournament was to make sure that the youth stay away from the streets and rather play sport.

Residents of Osizweni’s Ward 30 were treated to a day of fun and thrilling entertainment when they competed in the Masibambisane youth soccer tournament held at the Buhlebentuthuko Sports Grounds on August 5.

Event organiser, Nhlanhla Sibisi, said the day was organised by himself with the help of Amajuba Barcelona FC (a NPO), Sports Arts and Culture, the I Matter Foundation (a NPO), of which he is the chairperson, the Sibuyisa Ithemba Drug and Substance Abuse (a NPO) and residents of Ward 30 in Osizweni.

“The aim of the tournament was to make sure that our youth stay away from the streets and play sport. I personally want these types of tournaments to continue in our community, and I am pleading with our business people to help us continue doing what’s best for all residents,” Sibisi concluded.
