Team Titans crowned business league champions

Congratulations to Team Titans who were crowned the ultimate champions of the 2022 Newcastle Bowling Club Business League.

The business league, which is proudly sponsored by Bidvest Waltons, is held twice a year and invites businesses in Newcastle to enter teams of four for a friendly bowls competition.

There were also prizes up for grabs for the top six teams.

The Waltons business league ran from October 20 to November 24; providing six weeks of social fun, food, and drinks.

The league attracted 26 teams, each with amateur and professional bowlers, and was a huge success with everyone having a good time.

All proceeds from the business league are used to keep the club running, with special events such as the ‘spider’ event to help raise funds for Disability Bowls South Africa.

Congratulations to the winning team, The Titans, for their outstanding camaraderie and on-field abilities.

The Newcastle Bowling Club is looking forward to the next business league starting in January, as well as meeting new people as more teams join each year.
