The 2022 Champion Golf Day was a huge success, despite the wind, rain, hail, and sun on Saturday.
The course had more than enough waterholes to keep the golfers hydrated and fed during the shotgun start.
There were also three close-to-the-pin prizes available, which were won by the following players:
Willy Clayton on Hole No. 5, won R5000 cash, Dries Els on Hole No. 8, took home R2000 while Irshaad Peer,on Hole No. 14, bagged R3000 cash. Mark Nero won the Tandem Weed Eater on Hole No. 10 prize, sponsored by Hydro Power Newcastle.
