Last weekend, five men’s and three women’s veteran teams gathered at Volksrust Bowling Club to compete in the Northern Zone’s veteran fours competition.
The home club’s team of Kate Osborne, M.Pretorius, A.Coetzer, and V.Bronkhorst (4 +9) won the ladies title, with Dundee’s Hannelie Arndt, Essie Slabbert, Sheryl Hesom, and Dora Joubert (2 + 13) finishing second.
The men’s section was the most competitive, with some outstanding bowls being played.
