Two evenings' entertainment certainly saw poetry in motion as the dancers of Stepping Out Dance Academy put on a memorable showcase for the public at Pionier High School in their Beauty Within Show and Tell spectacular.

THERE’S an old saying that goes, “The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word…”

Two evenings’ entertainment certainly saw poetry in motion as the dancers of Stepping Out Dance Academy put on a memorable showcase for the public at Pionier High School in their Beauty Within Show and Tell spectacular.

Featuring local talents such as Carin Lombard, Bsharp Guitar School, Lune Erasmus, Danceology, Frikkie Erasmus and Damian Els, the Pionier Cheerleaders and Caylee Birkenstock, both the public and gala evenings were massively successful and patrons and parents alike were treated to an evening of enchantment.

Ten percent of the proceeds of the Stepping Out Dance Academy Beauty Within Show and Tell will be donated to Child Welfare, while the rest will go to funding.

“Thank you to each and every student and parent for all your hard work,” writes Stepping Out Dance Instructor, Marina de Beer, who was the driving force behind the success of the showcase. “I really appreciate everything. I am the luckiest teacher to have such awesome students and dance parents.”

“After a hectic busy two weeks at Stepping Out, we can relax now and concentrate on our dance exams… All classes are back to normal this week.”

Following the Gala evening, Marina made a special announcement that created some excitement among the students and parents as she introduced En Pointe Ballet Studio’s, Kerryn Shapiro, and announced that Stepping Out, in partnership with Kerryn, will now be offering Ballet lessons as well as the current variety of dance styles already available: Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern and Acrobatics.
