Dear Mr Ramaphosa, what about our schools?

Our leaders are dying because of children who go to school and carry this virus back home

Editor –
Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, I am writing this message because I am worried that children will come back with this virus and pass it on to our elderly people.
Please, Mr Ramaphosa, please inform Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga that she should close schools for the rest of the year.
Yes, we know education is important, but now, during this difficult time, lives are more important than education. Our leaders are dying because of children who go to school and carry this virus back home – as a result, our elderly people get infected.
We recently lost another worker who served under the Department of Education, who was a teacher / principal at Mphophoma Primary School.
Her name was Miss Shoba. Please, Mr Ramaphosa, please close the schools for the sake of our elders and do it for Angie Motshekga, because her job of being the Minister is on the line due to the re-opening of schools. For once, please do what we request and listen to us as South African citizens.
Asanda Mabutho Sithole
