A sacrifice of praise

We continue to pray for the medical community, the researchers, caregivers and everyone in our communities

Editor and readers of Estcourt News –

I acknowledge the efforts that different people are putting into dealing with the coronavirus situation.

I pray God’s blessing as we continue. The people of Faith are also spending time in the Word, Prayer and Fasting. In addition to this, I invite Christians to offer to God a sacrifice of praise at a personal level, according to Hebrews 13:15. Praise is easier to offer when situations are favourable.

When conditions are not favourable, it becomes a sacrifice because we declare to God that

He is bigger than the current situation. At a corporate level, yes, we praise. But do I make time to declare the goodness of God, at a personal level when no one is watching. Does God know my personal, private, heartfelt praise?

This is a time a personal renewal of our personal praise. We continue to pray for the medical community, the researchers, caregivers and everyone in our communities.

The Bible abounds with people who have conquered through praise. When we praise God, we are acknowledging our helplessness and powerlessness before Him. We yield ourselves to Him and declare that He is powerful and He is our help. In the midst of the distress and all the challenges around the Corona virus, let us take time to offer a sacrifice of praise to God. He is our help and He is our hope.

I want to suggest that in your prayer life, you add a daily reading of Psalm 103 daily. Let us be attentive to the guidelines from those in authority. Let us also find ways of serving where we can. Let us take extra care of ourselves and our loved ones. And as we do that, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise.

I believe that when all this is through, we will have great praise. Let everyday be a day of praise. God bless you and your family. God bless Estcourt and may His blessing extend beyond our borders.
