Sagie Mama is the hero we all need

Why do we settle for less? Why can't we take a stand and say no?

Have you ever been short changed when it came to something you bought? Ever felt cheated by a store or business? Sagie Mama knows how you feel and is sympathetic to your cause.

You see, Sagie Mama was in that same situation not too long ago and instead of sitting back and feeling sorry for himself, he took action.

Not sure who Sagie Mama is and why he’s important? Sagie Mama recently made headlines when he phoned Nagiahs to complain that there was one wing missing from the chicken he recently bought.

Now most people wouldn’t make a fuss about a wing missing, but Sagie Mama isn’t most people. Realising that he’d been short-changed a wing, he brought it to the attention of the company’s customer service who called him back.

Sagie Mama explained that upon cooking the chicken, they noticed the one wing was missing. He therefore could not return the bird either. He also provided his email address (sagiemama@gmail.com), so that the company could send their response in writing along with a reference number.

The voice recording of the complaint has since gone viral and numerous memes have done the rounds. Sagie’s infamous line, ‘But I’m not going to lie to you. I’m not going to fight for one wing,’ has also been remixed a few times. And while it’s hilarious and the memes continue, many can draw inspiration from Sagie Mama.

Why do we settle for less? Whether it’s customer service complaints, service delivery issues or even rocky relationships, why are we scared to fight for what’s right? Why can’t we take a stand and say no?

With Valentine’s Day around the corner and many putting up with problems just because they feel bad to end it during the month of love, why not be like Sagie Mama? A bird can’t fly with one wing and your relationship can’t thrive with only one person fighting for it.

When the municipality isn’t giving you the services you paid for, draw inspiration from Sagie Mama and refuse to sit back and wait.

We all have a Sagie Mama inside us, we just have to let it out.
