'By the end of March, more than 400 beneficiaries will be occupying their new houses,'

Editor –
The Loch Sloy community is proud, happy and feeling blessed about the quality of houses constructed in the area.
These houses are unique within the Uthukela District and there are beneficiaries already occupying these houses.

By the end of March, more than 400 beneficiaries will be occupying their new houses, although we still have some challenges such as technical and social sites with queries where there have been graves, power lines, sites with no space and so on, but we have managed to resolve quite a lot.

Councillor Dubazane, CHS and WBHO – we are a team of problem-solvers when we encounter a problem! We rally together to resolve those problems and have successfully minimised those problems.  We do not rally together to come up with plans as to how we can enrich ourselves with public funds at the expense of the community that must benefit.

A good working relationship between the above team and the community is the best recipe and added to the success of this project, because in Loch Sloy, we are against fraud, corruption and maladministration. We grew up supporting and now we are reaping the rewards of that.

As the Loch Sloy community, we also deeply and sincerely appreciate what Councillor Mbuzeleni Mkhize did while he was still our ward councillor. Your hard work is appreciated, Khabazela. Loch Sloy is a peaceful and crime-free area, and together with Councillor Dubazane, we are experiencing the problem of people from other areas requesting accommodation there.

We are asking ourselves: Why are people prepared to leave their area for Loch Sloy?  Is it because of this project the Loch Sloy community fought so hard to materialise?  Loch Sloy is on the map. Come end of April, the project will be complete.
