Worrisome concerns raised with the IEC

The NPF write to express the concerns they have with the IEC and the ruling party the ANC

Editor – The National Freedom Party (NFP) would like to complain about the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) employing teachers during the voting process.

These teachers are already employed by the government. Instead of empowering the majority, the IEC could employ the unemployed youth of this country.

This would mean granting them an opportunity to earn themselves an income for that period of time during the elections.

Another concern is the ruling party (African National Congress) employing only their members and those donning their T-shirts.

This confuses me, as the IEC should be independent and not working only for the ANC, making this unfair. Every South African deserves a fair chance when applying for a job.

We all should be employed based on merit and not anything else. On May 8, 2019, during the national elections, most ANC members were double voting. We have since launched a complaint, but unfortunately nothing was done about it.

A copy of this letter was forwarded to the IEC for a response; none was received at the time of this post.
